what a productive day...

oh....the stressful week with test and assignments have come to an end! next week is a breather and then full out again with reports are due -__-'' sad...it seems exams are nearer than ever coz we're so busy time flies like flies! WAKAKak ok ok that was soooo lame..

mondays bento!
well basically monday was the same thing as sundays dinner...or erm the other day actually...i made a pasta bake! mini! and my gui ling gao! coz i wana gui ling gao dono must be them cravings....haha and golden kiwi! coz it was on special! funny its so hard but its still so sweet...hmm i wonder why i tot have to be squishy then its ripe...oh wells

tuesday!
tuesday! was lab day! so i had more rice! with something new...seaweed rolled egg!, pork chop, and konnyaku daikon stew sigh konnyaku the ultimate diet food! haha the seaweed rolled egg was pretty interesting! yum yum...

wednesday!
i had to stay back in uni to finish my assignment which was due on thursday and friday so i had some vermicilli thing...erm..you know so called 'slow' release of power kinda food with the filling that was supposed to be in with the noodle but somehow it don wana fren each other so had to put then in separately...and my rolled egg and seaweed! interesting!

the seaweed is just rehydrated and then add some vinegar, sugar, sesame seeds mix! then add sesame oil! and you get the same thing as the ones that they sell in the shops...well the shop one use fresh seaweed la...so yea...

thursday!
i had another full day and was sad coz i didn manage to keep up to like my goals of the day the night before meaning i had to do more tonight =( so i had cinnamonoroll! made my day! ahah lunch was my seaweed egg roll, onigiri, kimchi pork, and olive on weiner!

friday!
friday! i was so urgh from staying up soo late to finish my assignement i only raelised wen i got to uni that my lunch was all red -__-''' ah wells

today today! erm yesterday i was super busy la with grocery-ing and cutting hair and driving here and there but so yea today! i was very hardworking!

going to bak kut teh for dinner >__< last time i had it was like what...last year?!??!

hmm and three interesting bowls..daikon, cabbage and fermenting dough!
guess what i made!
haha if you can guess it you are very smart! but erm...the dough is for bread obviously...urgh i don wna imagine daikon and cabbage with the dough O_O

so anyway! i was making the sauce that needed like chilli powder and then i dump it in but not chillie enough! so i put the WHOLE 200g of chilli powder and hey its quite a bit its like..about...1 1/2 cup? 2? sth like that la but hten still not hot enough...smelly korean chilli so i added some other bunch of chilli based stuff and came up with this...
but honestly! i tlel you its not spicy! eventhough it looks suicidal...hahah or maybe its just me ...
then i added more stuff and black bean paste so its not that red now...and the lighting is different here so yea...chives and spring onion and a bunch of stuff...i wanted to put in fresh oyster too! but then oysters are like $22 for one dozen! T__T im so super poor...last time i could get away with like $13 for second grade now they don even have seconds -__-''

so yea...heres my veges that are salting and sweating their water out! was pretty interesting how you add salt and then suddenly your vege starts sweating...haha
so yea!
end product! wait...erm...bout a day or 2 and i will check it! kept with micr knowledge arrr~ so that it wont grow mould...hope it ferments nice! =D gave it a lot of love already haha
the bread also nice >_< its rice bread! interesting ei? i made it with like rice and water and flour la of course and its chewy and light coz of teh rice giving it a erm...how to explain mochi mochi texture!

oh this is the cake i baked yesterday! it was good too! cheese souffle cake! =D it was not as nice when it was warm but hwen its int he fridge for a night whoa...the difference is amazing...dense and cheese like but the insides are just a little fluffy so its not too rich. the only thing i couldn get right was the cracking =( when it was in the oven it started getting bigger and then cracked..i tried lowering down the temperature but still cracked...hmm need to ask my fren! hes the son of a baker! haha last time i went over to his place and he baked cake! and it was looking sooo perfect but then right the top was burnt! so yea...

aights! i shall erm go and take bath and all see yah!

ps see i told you! productive week! =D i guess the amount i cook = amount of stress im under O_O amazing....

  1. i seriously think you should go into the whole food business after you graduate man..

    btw, is it possible to make bread without yeast but just with baking powder? i was wondering cause i have baking powder only and i'm too kiam to buy yeast. LOL.

  2. haha hobby and business are two different things lor...

    and yes you can make bread without yeast! its like irish soda bread! or you can make scones! they don need yeast
