we were so full but decided to have dessert -__-'' so yea had ohagi and sakura mochi! both done really nicely. sakura mochi was really floral...well it is cherry blossom leaves...
then at the end when we went to pay we saw these and commented on how adorable they were and the hot waiter decided to give it to us. wakakakawell that was the most detailed meal i had the others i was all excited and only remembered to take photo after i finished eating -_-'''
went to sylvia park the next day. was really interesting coz its split in two and the middle is like outdoor park where the x'mas tree is and the rest of the area is closed up

ReplyDeleteyea i went to ariake on the last day was pretty good! wanted to try the lunch but we weren't on time so we had dinner instead
ReplyDeletethe one above is called sansui its a japanese restaurant and bar. you shud try it out! its at stamford plaza hotel, swanson street, auckland. we found it when we were walking around...its like in front of some chinese restaurant imperial harbour sth like that. found it when we were roaming around albert st.
might do that sometime soon... I'll be working downtown at campus anyway, so I'll have heaps of time to lunch in town and stuff...
ReplyDeletedid you explore our campus while you were in auckland?
no...i didn't have time coz me and my sister went up for job interviews for her pharmacy intern year so we were around onehunga, glenn innes and dominion road. but i did use the link bus and it took us around the campus area and all. i saw this massive japanese grocery store O_O~! but the campus itself looks humongous~ saw the engineering building as well and it looked really well designed
ReplyDeletethanks, I'm pleased that you compliment engineering =) and proud... uh, your sis' a pharmacy grad? wow... mine too. although she's finished her intern year already. so did she get any of the places she applied for?
ReplyDeleteand what japanese grocery store is this? I must know!
really? oo...yea she got onehunga. she starts on the 10/12 so i'll probably be see-ing more of auckland now that shes there and all. did your sister do her intern in auckland too? im not too sure about the store ei? coz i saw it when i was in the bus...but i remembered it was when i was on the link bus. the green one and it stopped in front of an auckland campus bus stop and the opposite side was a like building that sed japanese grocery store...although...it might have been the bus to onehunga from the custom east st -__-'' i dono was too early in the morning. but yea i like the building with the many windows.
